Local Records Centres in the South West of England now have a web portal from which prospective data users can find the right centre for the right area of search, and other useful information common to all the LRCs in the South West.
The site is still under development. Features so far include:
- information about data standards and services;
- a handy postcode search facility;
- volunteering opportunities and other news;
- links to each of the Local Records Centres and the national Association of Location Environmental Records Centres (ALERC).
The portal consists of a simple website interface with an interactive map:
